The six books in this series provide practise for blending the adjacent consonants 'cl, fl, gl, pl, sl, spl, cr, fr, gr, tr, sk, sn, st, sw' at the beginning of words containing only the vowel graphemes 'a, e, i, o, u' and the adjacent consonants 'lp, mp, nd, nk, nt, st' at the end of words.
The consonant digraphs ng, ck, th, sh are also used.
